How to track your Tock reservations alongside Resy and OpenTable
Forward your Tock confirmation emails to the same place as your Resy and OpenTable ones. CityNoms gives you a private address, reads each confirmation and lists every booking together by date, so a prepaid tasting menu sits next to a Tuesday dinner instead of in a separate app.

Why Tock bookings drift out of view
Tock is what many restaurants use for tasting menus, prepaid dinners and ticketed events. You often pay some or all of the bill up front, and you often book weeks ahead. That combination makes Tock bookings easy to forget, and costly to miss.
Meanwhile, the rest of your dining life probably runs on Resy and OpenTable, the two big reservation platforms in the US. Each keeps its own list. Tock keeps its own list too, in your Tock account. Three apps, three lists, and none of them talk to each other. When you want to know what you have on this month, you end up checking all three, then searching your inbox for whatever is left.
The fix is not a fourth app to check. It is one list that collects all of them, whichever app you used to book.
Put Tock and everything else in one list
Every Tock booking comes with a confirmation email. So does every Resy and OpenTable booking. Your inbox is already the one place they all pass through, and CityNoms is built around that.
- Sign up for CityNoms and copy your private address. It looks like
yourcode@citynoms.com. - Forward your Tock confirmation to it. The booking shows up in your list, tagged Tock.
- Do the same with your next Resy and OpenTable confirmations.
Now every table you hold sits in one list sorted by date, whatever platform booked it. CityNoms reads the restaurant, date, time, party size and confirmation number from each email. If anything looks off, tap the card and edit it.
Set it once with an auto-forward rule
Forwarding by hand is fine for a few bookings a month. If you book often, set a rule. Tock confirmations come from exploretock.com, so a single filter can catch them along with the other platforms.
In Gmail, add your CityNoms address as a forwarding address and confirm it. Then create a filter and paste this into the From field:
resy.com OR opentable.com OR exploretock.com OR sevenrooms.com
Choose "Forward it to" your CityNoms address and save. Gmail asks you to sign in again before it saves the filter. That is normal. The Gmail auto-forward guide walks through each screen.
One tip: filters only act on new mail. For Tock bookings you already hold, forward the confirmation by hand once. It takes seconds, and it is a good test that everything works.
What to keep in mind with prepaid bookings
Tock bookings often come with firmer terms than a regular reservation. A prepaid dinner may not be refundable, and changes may only be possible within a set window. Those terms live with Tock and the restaurant, not in CityNoms.
- Make changes on Tock. CityNoms does not book, change or cancel anything. Use your Tock account or the link in the original email.
- Keep your list honest. If you transfer or cancel a Tock booking, edit or delete the card in CityNoms so the list stays accurate.
- Keep the original email. It holds your receipt and the restaurant's policy.
Tickets for groups and events
Some Tock bookings are tickets for a group, a special dinner or a one-off event rather than a regular table. The confirmation still lists the restaurant, the date, the time and how many people are going, so CityNoms files it the same way as any other booking. If the event has a name of its own, like a wine dinner or a guest chef night, you can edit the card so it tells you what the evening is at a glance.
If several friends each hold their own Tock tickets for the same dinner, each person can forward their own confirmation to their own CityNoms address. Every list is private, so nobody sees anyone else's bookings. If you bought the tickets for the whole table, your one confirmation covers it, and the party size on the card shows how many seats you hold.
The reminder that saves a prepaid dinner
The day before each booking, CityNoms sends one quiet email with where, when and for how many. For a tasting menu booked six weeks ago, that one email does a lot of work. There is no nudge an hour before and no follow-up after. Just the reminder.
CityNoms compared with checking each app
- Where bookings live. Checking each app: Tock in your Tock account, Resy and OpenTable in their own apps. With CityNoms: all of them in one list, sorted by date.
- Seeing this week. Checking each app: three apps and an inbox search. With CityNoms: one glance.
- Reminders. Checking each app: whatever each platform sends. With CityNoms: one quiet email the day before every booking.
- Changes and refunds. Either way, these are handled on Tock or with the restaurant.
Short FAQ
Does CityNoms work with Tock?
Yes. Forward a Tock confirmation to your private CityNoms address and it appears in your list, tagged Tock, next to your Resy and OpenTable bookings.
Will my existing Tock bookings show up automatically?
Not on their own. A forwarding rule only catches new emails, so forward any Tock confirmations you already have by hand once.
Can CityNoms cancel or refund a Tock booking?
No. CityNoms does not book, change or cancel reservations. Use Tock or contact the restaurant, then delete the card in CityNoms.
Does CityNoms read my inbox?
No. It never connects to or scans your email. It only sees the confirmations you choose to forward.
