A restaurant reservation tracker for New York diners
Many New York bookings run through Resy or OpenTable, with Tock for tasting menus. CityNoms keeps them all in one free list: forward each confirmation to your private address and every table sits together by date, with one quiet reminder the day before.

Why New York reservations scatter
New York dining runs on a handful of platforms. Resy and OpenTable are the two big ones, and between them they cover a large share of the city's restaurants. Tock is common for tasting menus and prepaid dinners. Some restaurants also send their own confirmation by email.
Each platform has its own app and its own list. None of them shows the others. So a single month can mean a Resy booking in the West Village, an OpenTable table in Midtown and a prepaid Tock dinner in Brooklyn, each in a different place.
The night you need the details is often the night you are on the sidewalk, switching between apps. You should not need three apps to answer one simple question: where am I eating tonight?
One list for every table
CityNoms collects all of them in one place. It was built in New York for exactly this.
- Sign up and copy your private CityNoms address, which looks like
yourcode@citynoms.com. - Forward any confirmation to it: Resy, OpenTable, Tock, SevenRooms or a restaurant's own email.
- CityNoms reads the restaurant, date, time, party size and confirmation number, and adds the booking to your list, tagged by platform.
Everything is sorted by date. Tap any card to view or edit it, or delete one you no longer need. CityNoms runs in your browser and you can add it to your home screen, so it opens like an app without an app store.
Booking far ahead makes forgetting easy
Popular New York restaurants often release tables a set number of days in advance, and the best times go quickly. So people book early, sometimes weeks out. By the time the date comes around, the booking is buried under everything else that has arrived since.
The day before each booking, CityNoms sends one quiet email with the restaurant, time and party size. That is the moment a reservation made a month ago turns back into a plan. One reminder, no nudge an hour before, nothing after.
Cancellation fees and prepaid tables
Some New York restaurants charge a fee if you cancel late or do not show up, and Tock dinners are often paid up front. The terms are in the confirmation and in the platform's app.
CityNoms does not book, change or cancel anything. If you need to move a table, do it in Resy, OpenTable or Tock, or through the link in the original email. Then edit or delete the card in CityNoms so the list matches reality. Seeing every booking in one list also makes clashes and double bookings easy to spot while there is still time to sort them out.
Seeing the whole week at once
A busy New York week can hold three or four reservations across different platforms: a work dinner on OpenTable, a Friday table on Resy, a Sunday tasting menu on Tock. Seen in one list, the shape of the week is clear. You can tell which nights are spoken for, which are free and whether two bookings sit too close together.
That view helps with the people you eat with, too. When someone asks if you are free on Thursday, one look at the list answers it, without opening three apps to check. And when a friend sends you their confirmation for a dinner you are joining, forward it to your CityNoms address so it sits in your list as well.
Visiting New York
If you are coming to New York for a few days, the same setup works. Book on Resy, OpenTable or Tock as usual, and forward each confirmation as it arrives. Your list becomes an itinerary for the trip, with every meal in order, and the reminder the day before keeps a booking made weeks ago from slipping past once you are in the city.
Set it once
Forwarding by hand works if you book now and then. If you book every week, set an auto-forward rule. In Gmail, create a filter with this in the From field and forward matches to your CityNoms address:
resy.com OR opentable.com OR exploretock.com OR sevenrooms.com
The Gmail auto-forward guide walks through each screen. For tasting menus, see tracking Tock alongside Resy and OpenTable.
CityNoms never connects to your inbox. It only sees the confirmations you forward.
CityNoms compared with checking each app
- Where bookings live. Checking each app: the Resy app, the OpenTable app, your Tock account and your inbox. With CityNoms: one list, sorted by date.
- Checking tonight's plan. Checking each app: opening each one in turn. With CityNoms: one glance.
- Reminders. Checking each app: whatever each platform sends. With CityNoms: one quiet email the day before.
- Changes and cancellations. Either way, these are made in Resy, OpenTable or Tock.
