A restaurant reservation tracker for London diners
London bookings are spread across SevenRooms, OpenTable, Resy and restaurants' own emails. CityNoms pulls them into one free list: forward each confirmation to your private address and every lunch and dinner sits together by date, with one reminder the day before.

Why London bookings end up everywhere
Book a few meals in London and you will meet several systems. SevenRooms is widely used by London restaurants, and by many hotel restaurants and restaurant groups. OpenTable is common across the city. Resy is here too. And plenty of smaller places take bookings through their own website or confirm by email themselves.
Each of those sends its own confirmation, in its own format, from its own address. None of them shows you the others. So a Thursday lunch on SevenRooms, a Saturday dinner on OpenTable and a birthday booking made by email end up in three separate threads, with nothing pulling them together.
One list for every table
CityNoms is a free reservation tracker built around a simple idea. Your inbox already receives every confirmation. Forward them to one place, and that place keeps the list.
- Sign up and copy your private CityNoms address, something like
yourcode@citynoms.com. - Forward any confirmation to it: SevenRooms, OpenTable, Resy, Tock, or an email straight from the restaurant.
- CityNoms reads the restaurant, date, time, party size and confirmation number, and adds the booking to your list.
Bookings are sorted by date and tagged by platform, so you always know where a reservation came from if you need to change it. CityNoms runs in your browser, with nothing to download from an app store, and you can add it to your phone's home screen.
Lunch bookings are the easy ones to forget
Dinner plans tend to stay front of mind. Lunch is different. A table booked for a Tuesday at 12:30 is easy to lose in a busy week, especially when it was booked weeks ago for a work lunch or a catch-up with a friend.
The day before each booking, CityNoms sends one quiet email with the restaurant, time and party size. For a lunch, that means you know about it before the morning starts. There is no reminder an hour before and no follow-up after. Just the one.
Card holds and cancellation terms
Many London restaurants ask for card details to hold a table, and some charge for a late cancellation or a no-show. The terms vary by restaurant and are set out in the confirmation or on the booking page.
CityNoms keeps track of your bookings, but it does not book, change or cancel them. So keep the original confirmation. It holds the link to manage the booking and the restaurant's policy. If plans change, cancel through that link, then delete or edit the card in CityNoms. A list you can trust is one that matches what the restaurant has on its books.
Bookings made by someone else
Plenty of London tables are booked on someone else's behalf: a team lunch booked by a colleague, a birthday dinner booked by a friend, a table passed on to you when plans changed. If the confirmation went to someone else, ask them to forward it to you, then send it on to your CityNoms address. It lands in your list like any other booking.
If you book for other people, the opposite applies. The booking sits in your list even if you are not going. Delete it once you have passed the details on, so your list shows only the tables you will actually sit at.
Visiting London
If you are in London for a short trip, the same setup works. Book as you normally would, on SevenRooms, OpenTable, Resy or directly with the restaurant, and forward each confirmation as it arrives. Your list then doubles as an itinerary, with every lunch and dinner in order, and the reminder the day before keeps a booking made weeks ahead from slipping past once you land.
Set it once and forget it
If you book often, set an auto-forward rule so confirmations file themselves. In Gmail, a filter with this in the From field catches all four big platforms at once:
resy.com OR opentable.com OR exploretock.com OR sevenrooms.com
Choose "Forward it to" your CityNoms address. The Gmail auto-forward guide covers every step, including confirming the address. Outlook and iCloud Mail have similar rules. Restaurants that email you directly will not match the filter, so forward those by hand. If most of your bookings are on SevenRooms, the SevenRooms guide has a few more tips.
Either way, CityNoms never connects to your inbox. It only sees what you forward.
CityNoms compared with checking each app
- Where bookings live. Checking each app: SevenRooms emails, the OpenTable app, the Resy app and the odd restaurant email. With CityNoms: one list, sorted by date.
- Lunch and dinner together. Checking each app: separate threads. With CityNoms: one view of the whole week.
- Reminders. Checking each app: whatever each restaurant sends. With CityNoms: one quiet email the day before.
- Changes and cancellations. Either way, these go through the restaurant or the booking platform.
